About

As China’s high-speed rail network expands, Liu Zhuhai (3rd Uncle), a migrant labour boss who built his company on family ties, faces a crisis when modernisation forces him to choose between family loyalty and corporate survival.

Through his struggle where older generations cling to collective sacrifice whilst younger generations pursue individual security.

This feature length film explores how rapid development is reshaping the meaning of family in modern China, blending intimate documentary storytelling with sweeping visuals of the nation’s transforming landscapes.
